The trail to Mount Ida starts at Milner Pass and follows a path through the tundra just slightly below the continental divide most of the way to the summit.  You'll have great views of the Never Summer Range to the west and a good chance of seeing big horn sheep along the way.  From the summit of Mount Ida, enjoy exceptional views of the Gorge Lakes area.  Most of this trail is above tree line so don't hike this trail if there is any threat of lightning.
