Version 0.8.3    Download TED Screensaver Setup 0.8.3.exe    1.7 Meg

This version adds a second program called "TED Screensaver Companion".  The companion program, if you run it, will constantly monitor power and keep Min/Max updated even when the screensaver is not running.  The companion program also makes it easier to get to the screensaver configuration settings.

Installation:

  • Run the installation program and follow the instructions.
  • Following installation, use the Windows screensaver selection dialog to select TedScreenSaver just as you would for any other windows screensaver.
  • Click the Settings button in the screensaver selection dialog, then enter the URL you use to access Footprints with a web browser, i.e. http://ted6000/Footprints.html if that is what you use. You can also choose maximum gauge watts, a gauge color set, and more.

Version 0.7.0    Download TedScreenSaver.SCR    107 kB

No installation is required with this version.  Simply download TedScreenSaver.SCR and copy it into your Windows directory.  Then use the Windows screensaver selection dialog and choose TedScreenSaver.

In the screensaver Settings dialog box, enter the URL you use to access Footprints.  i.e. http://ted6000/Footprints.html if that is what you use.  You can also choose maximum gauge watts, a gauge color set, and more.

Known limitations:  Min/Max (when enabled) is only updated when the screensaver is running.  If you have Windows configured to shut off your monitor after two hours for example, Windows will also stop the screensaver.
